A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Requirements:
Monday-Friday availability, with Tuesday-Thursday availability especially important Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned court appearances Strong basic math skills and attention to detail Strong communication and people skills Comfortable speaking with tenants and other members of the public Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Comfortable dealing with upset, confrontational, or occasionally rude individuals without becoming rattled Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Professional courtroom appearance and attire — business/business-casual dress is required; jeans are not appropriate Willingness to learn court procedures and take direction Prior legal knowledge or experience is not required, but is highly beneficial This is a strong entry-level opportunity for someone interested in the legal field who is comfortable learning by doing. You do not need to know the court process when you start—we will teach you—but you do need confidence, common sense, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to handle pressure.Pay:
