Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to support our law firm's employment and litigation practice areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, providing essential administrative support to attorneys and paralegals within our firm.

The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, proficiency with legal case management systems, and exceptional organizational abilities to ensure smooth office operations and efficient case handling. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal teams, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail. Manage document review processes and maintain organized filing systems both electronically and physically, using document management systems. Assist with legal case management activities including data entry, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case files. Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives. Perform transcription of legal proceedings or dictations as needed. Handle administrative duties such as phone and email etiquette, proofreading documents for accuracy, and managing correspondence efficiently. Coordinate with clients and external agencies on interviews or information-gathering relevant to cases. Assist with document review for accuracy. Requirements Proven experience in a legal administrative role or paralegal experience within a law office setting. Knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis a plus. Proficiency in legal case management software, document management systems, and data entry processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Exceptional writing skills for drafting documents and correspondence; proofreading expertise is essential. Strong research skills with the ability to analyze legal information accurately. Effective communication skills demonstrating professionalism in phone etiquette and client interactions. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in document review and filing tasks. Organizational skills necessary for managing deadlines across various cases and practice areas. Pay:
From $35,000.00 per year
