This is not an entry level position - qualified candidates should have prior litigation experience and a strong understanding of law firm procedures. The legal assistant will be responsible for maintaining an accurate docketing calendar, preparing and assembling legal documents, reviewing and maintaining litigation files, entering attorneys' billable time into the firm's billing system, and assisting with a variety of administrative responsibilities. Additional duties will include answering phones, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and providing general support to attorneys as needed. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, efficient, and able to effectively multitask, and should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, DocuSign, TABS (or other billing software), and other basic computer applications is required.
