Position Summary Thompson, Guildner & Associates, Inc., P.S. is seeking a dependable legal assistant to join our busy law practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, professional, and able to provide administrative and case support across multiple practice areas, including civil litigation, municipal law, probate, estate planning, and real estate. This position requires frequent communication with attorneys, clients, court personnel, government agencies, opposing counsel, and other third parties. The successful candidate must be able to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, follow established procedures, and produce accurate work within required deadlines. This is a primarily in-office position. The employee will generally be permitted to work remotely on Thursdays after completing necessary training and demonstrating the ability to work independently. The remote-work schedule may be modified or discontinued in the future based on staffing, performance, workload, or the Firm's operational needs. At this time, the Firm requires in-office work every weekday except Thursday. The Firm's office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with a typical employee schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a 40 hour per week position. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and case support, including maintaining physical and electronic files, processing mail, scheduling appointments, answering calls, assisting with intake, and protecting confidential information. Prepare, format, proofread, file, scan, and distribute correspondence, pleadings, notices, discovery materials, and other legal documents using approved templates and attorney instructions. E-file documents, calendar hearings and deadlines, coordinate service and document delivery, and communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, government offices, and other parties. Assist with litigation document production, exhibits, hearing and trial materials, working copies, and administrative support at proceedings when requested. Support municipal, probate, and estate-planning matters by preparing routine documents, maintaining deadlines, coordinating publications and public records requests, and assisting with signing appointments. Prepare deeds, excise tax affidavits, recording forms, and other real estate documents, and handle electronic or in-person recording and delivery to courts, counties, and government offices. Perform other legal administrative duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Strong organizational, proofreading, communication, computer, and time-management skills, with careful attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, professional PDF software, and CRM or case-management systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow detailed procedures, maintain confidentiality, and interact professionally with clients and third parties. Ability and willingness to learn court e-filing systems and other legal technology. Reliable transportation for local court, county, recording, and document-delivery trips. Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday, except when Thursday remote work is authorized. When working remotely, access to a private workspace and reliable high-speed internet service.

Compensation and Benefits Compensation:

$22 to $24 per hour, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position involves regular use of computers, telephones, scanners, printers, and other standard office equipment.
