): The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking dedicated professionals to join our Community Corrections team as Correctional Probation Officers (CPOs). As a CPO, you will supervise offenders in the community, conduct investigations, testify in court, and connect offenders with resources that support successful rehabilitation while helping protect Florida's communities. Community Corrections offers a meaningful public service career with opportunities for advancement throughout the Florida Department of Corrections.
COMPENSATION
$22.00/hour as a Trainee $23.14/hour upon certification Criminal Justice Incentive Pay up to $1,560 annually ($130/month) Annual Uniform & Shoe Allowance ($250) County salary additives available in select locations:•Approximately $1,700 annually (Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee & St. Lucie•Approximately $2,740 annually (Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade & Monroe)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university At least 19 years of age United States Citizen Valid driver's license No disqualifying felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury or false statement Successfully pass the required medical examination Successfully complete the background investigation and meet the good moral character requirements established by Florida law
