Site Health and Safety Manager Security King International - 3.5 Enfield, CT Job Details Full-time | Contract $105,000 - $110,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Federal construction safety regulations Safety management experience within construction industry Construction regulatory compliance Electrical safety procedures Documentation tools Team training Productivity software Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a full-time Health and Safety Manager (5 days per week) with availability to work on Saturdays when required and to lead our construction site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. In this vital role, you will oversee safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and foster a culture of safety excellence across multiple construction projects. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, protect workers' well-being, and promote a secure working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety standards on dynamic construction sites and collaborate with diverse teams to uphold the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs tailored to construction site operations. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk management evaluations aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) guidelines. Lead safety training sessions for all personnel, including OSHA compliance training, first aid and CPR certification, and specific electrical safety procedures. Ensure adherence to construction workplace safety regulations such as NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards, and other relevant codes. Manage incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate corrective actions to mitigate future risks. Oversee compliance management efforts related to workers' compensation claims, OSHA reporting requirements, and construction regulatory compliance. Collaborate with project managers and construction management teams to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health trends, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices, and construction safety management innovations using construction management software tools. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety plus three (3) years of full-time construction safety management experience or board certified safety credentials from a national recognized organization such as CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST and five (5) years of full-time construction safety management experience or a current
OSHA 500
certification and six (6) years of full-time construction safety management experience. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and occupational health practices. Demonstrated ability in risk management, occupational health expertise, and compliance management across complex projects. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively on safety procedures and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and construction management software for documentation and reporting purposes. Hands-on experience with electrical safety procedures, hazard mitigation strategies, and construction workplace safety regulations. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 500-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
