Job Summary We are seeking a Site EHS Manager to lead and oversee Environmental Health and Safety activities on a large construction site. This role will be responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying and mitigating jobsite hazards, and working closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and client personnel. Key Responsibilities Lead site EHS activities with a hands-on, field-based approach. Implement safety programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, client, and company requirements. Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions. Monitor high-risk activities, including heavy equipment, crane operations, concrete construction, excavations, and electrical work. Ensure proper PPE is being used throughout the jobsite. Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events. Conduct site safety orientations and toolbox talks. Communicate EHS expectations to employees, subcontractors, vendors, and other site personnel. Maintain required EHS documentation and records. Work with project management and superintendents to address and correct EHS deficiencies. Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings and stand-downs. Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable local safety regulations. Ability to conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses. Construction site EHS experience and ability to work with multiple subcontractors and trades. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and utilize Autodesk Build. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus. Physical & Work Environment Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders and stairs. Ability to work around elevated areas and active construction operations. Ability to lift equipment or materials as needed. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and remain active for extended periods. Ability to work on uneven terrain, gravel, mud, and partially completed structures. Comfortable working around construction dust, noise, vibration, and machinery. Ability to wear required PPE, including safety harnesses when necessary.
