3002562873-2 Apply for this job now Job Description GXO Logistics is seeking a Safety Supervisor for 1st shift to lead safety programs in a high-volume transportation and warehousing environment. You will oversee daily safety inspections, incident investigations and root-cause analysis, and ensure OSHA and DOT compliance across warehouse and yard operations. The role includes training associates on safe material-handling, equipment use and emergency procedures, analyzing safety data to reduce risks, and partnering with operations leaders to drive a strong safety culture. You'll help implement standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives to protect people, product and property. Responsibilities Lead daily safety inspections of warehouse, yard and docks to identify and correct hazards Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT and company safety standards and policies Investigate accidents, near-misses and safety incidents and complete reports Conduct root-cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive actions Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and equipment-specific instruction to associates Monitor safety KPIs, analyze trends and recommend risk-reduction initiatives Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily workflows Support emergency preparedness, drills and incident response coordination Drive a proactive safety culture focused on continuous improvement Maintain safety documentation, audits and regulatory records accurately Required Skills Occupational safety management OSHA compliance DOT safety regulations Incident investigation and reporting Root cause analysis Risk assessment and hazard mitigation Safety training and coaching Warehouse and material-handling safety EHS data analysis and reporting Emergency response planning
