Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance Position Overview Mountain West Industrial (MWI) is seeking an experienced Industrial Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on industrial and mine-site projects. The ideal candidate will have strong field safety experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to enforce safety standards in demanding industrial environments. A Blue Card holder with mine-site experience is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily safety activities on industrial and mine-site projects. Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA, MSHA, and company safety requirements. Conduct regular job-site inspections, audits, and safety observations. Lead daily toolbox talks, safety meetings, and job-site training. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries and complete required documentation. Maintain safety records, reports, inspections, and training documentation. Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and field crews to promote a strong safety culture. Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their work safely. Monitor compliance with PPE, fall protection, confined-space, lockout/tagout, lifting/rigging, and other applicable safety requirements. Assist with site orientations and onboarding of new employees. Communicate safety expectations clearly to employees, supervisors, and project leadership. Help develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures. Qualifications Previous experience as an Industrial Safety Manager, Safety Manager, Safety Coordinator, or similar role . Industrial construction or heavy industrial experience required. Mine-site safety experience strongly preferred. Blue Card holder preferred. Strong understanding of MSHA and OSHA safety requirements. Experience working around heavy equipment, structural steel, mechanical systems, and industrial construction is a plus. Ability to identify hazards and effectively communicate corrective actions. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating with project management and field supervision. Willingness to travel and work on mine and industrial sites. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Work Environment This is a field-based position supporting MWI's industrial and mine-site projects. The Safety Manager must be comfortable working outdoors and in challenging industrial environments, including areas with heavy equipment, elevated work, structural steel, mechanical construction, and other construction hazards. $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
