Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic transportation team as a Motorcoach Operator and become a vital part of delivering safe, reliable, and enjoyable travel experiences. In this energetic role, you will operate large motor coaches, ensuring passengers reach their destinations comfortably and securely. Your expertise in vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and exceptional customer service will drive positive journeys for our diverse clientele. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while making a meaningful impact on travelers' lives every day. Duties Safely operate motor coaches on designated routes, including city streets, highways, and scenic routes, following all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs or requiring additional passenger assistance Communicate effectively with dispatch using two-way radios to receive route updates, traffic alerts, or safety instructions Navigate city streets confidently while maintaining schedule adherence and managing traffic conditions, including adverse weather situations Ensure passenger safety at all times by enforcing safety rules, managing passenger behavior, and responding promptly to emergencies or incidents Maintain accurate logs of trips, vehicle inspections, and any incidents in accordance with transportation regulations Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as air brake certification and passenger transport authorization Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or paratransit operations with a strong understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs promptly Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with passengers, dispatchers, and team members using two-way radios or other communication devices Ability to navigate city streets confidently while managing passenger safety in various weather conditions Strong customer service orientation with a focus on passenger assistance and creating positive travel experiences Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Join us as a Motorcoach Operator and take pride in providing safe, efficient transportation services that connect communities. Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
