Responsibilities Safely operate transit buses, school buses, vans, or specialized vehicles such as wheelchair-accessible transport units in accordance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, including wheelchair assistance and behavior management when necessary. Ensure passenger safety by following emergency response procedures for transportation and conducting regular vehicle inspections before trips. Respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected delays by adjusting routes or schedules while maintaining communication with dispatch or supervisors. Follow all vehicle codes, school policies, and local laws related to commercial driving and passenger transport. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading equipment or luggage safely. Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and incident reports to ensure compliance with transportation safety standards. Qualifications Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and state and local commercial driving laws essential for safe operation. Familiarity with emergency stop procedures, defensive driving techniques, and transportation safety regulations. Drug free/Monthly testing. Clean driving record for 3 years, accidents and tickets Excellent customer service skills coupled with clear writing skills for documentation purposes. Pay:

$22.22 - $30.38 per hour Expected hours: 47.0 per week
