Field Safety Representative -
Data Center Construction Location:
Council Hill, OK (~1 hour south of Tulsa) |
Site-Based Position:
Full-Time, W2 |
Field-Based Schedule:
Monday-Saturday, approximately 5:30 AM-6:00 PM (up to 60 hrs/week)
Project:
Large-scale data center construction — multi-year assignment (3+ years anticipated)
Compensation:
Hourly position with OT. $18 - $30/hour, depending on experience A well-established structural steel erection and rigging contractor is hiring a Field Safety Representa tive to support a large-scale data center construction project in Council Hill, Oklahoma . This is a boots-on-the-ground role. You will spend 90% of your day on-site, working alongside the field crews, building a positive safety culture, and pitching in on field safety tasks when needed. We're open to candidates earlier in their careers who bring the right mix of construction knowledge, safety awareness, communication skills, and willingness to learn. This is a real chance to grow into safety leadership, project coordination, or field operations on a project expected to run for years. What You'll Do Work alongside crews in the field to promote safe practices around structural steel erection, rigging, lifting operations, fall protection, and equipment movement Conduct toolbox talks, jobsite safety walks, safety inspections, and hazard assessments, and work with field leadership to correct issues Support new-hire onboarding, site orientations, and safety documentation/paperwork Maintain safety records and assist with incident/near-miss investigations Perform daily equipment inspections Communicate with crews, foremen, superintendents, and GC safety personnel What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED General understanding of construction work practices and jobsite safety Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable working with both field crews and supervisory staff Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office A valid driver's license and successful completion of pre-employment screening, including a drug test, are required Able to work the Monday-Saturday schedule, including overtime Preferred Qualifications Structural steel, rigging, or data center construction experience Previous construction, field, or project coordination experience OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification First Aid/CPR/AED certification Coursework or degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or Engineering Physical Requirements Active, field-based role on a construction site. Requires extended periods of walking and standing, working at various elevations, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions while wearing required PPE.
