Job Overview (Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm and must be on call) Under the general supervision of the Corporate Security Manager, the Security Specialist supports the day-to-day physical security, loss prevention, and employee safety functions of the facility. the position assists with the ongoing management of security programs and technologies designed to protect employees, facilities, assets, and operations. The Security Specialists serves as a primary point of contact for physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detention, and alarm systems. The position system monitoring, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and continuous improvements while also conducting and supporting investigations involving security incidents, theft, inventory loss, access violations, and other security-related concerns. The Security Specialist also supports the local management team with Monthly Safety Committee meetings and related safety initiatives to help maintain a safe and secure workplace. Responsibilities Support day-to-day physical security, loss prevention, and employee safety activities. Serve as a point of contact for CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems, including routine system checks, maintenance coordination, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Conduct and support investigations involving theft, fraud, inventory loss, policy violations, unauthorized access, and other security-related incidents. Review CCTV, access control records, alarm activity, and other available evidence and prepare clear and accurate investigative reports. Support loss prevention efforts involving damaged, missing, or stolen goods and investigate warehouse shrink or inventory losses outside acceptable ranges. Monitor security procedures and access control practices to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective or preventive measures. Provide oversight and support for contracted security personnel and address performances or service concerns as needed. Support security and safety audits, risk assessments, and carrier security reviews at company and third-party locations. Maintain effective working relationships with Operations, Human Resources, Inventory Control, Facilities, carriers, security service providers, law enforcement, and other key stakeholders as appropriate. Support the local management team with Monthly Safety Committee meetings, including identifying concerns and tracking action items. Provide security awareness training and communications to employees and applicable service providers. Respond to urgent security incidents, alarms, and other emergency situations and provide additional site support or travel as operational needs require. Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Corporate Security Manager. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience with physical security technologies, including
C-CURE 9000
access control, Milestone XProtect
VMS, DMP
intrusion/alarm systems, or comparable platforms, is preferred. Experience conducting or supporting security, theft, fraud, or loss prevention investigations. Experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, warehouse security, or loss prevention is preferred. Experience providing oversight or support to security personnel or contracted security service providers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and professional reports and effectively communicate with employees, management, and key stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to effectively utilize security technology and business systems. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, confidentiality, accountability, and the ability to take ownership of security-related matters. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Three or more years of professional experience in corporate security, physical security, loss prevention, investigations, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications in physical security, loss prevention, investigations, safety, or related disciplines are preferred.
