Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations.

Experience:

Proven experience in security roles or related field.
Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques.
Ability to handle conflicts and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Familiarity with first aid and CPR procedures.
Background in law enforcement, loss prevention, or military is a plus.
Possession of a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).

Must be at least 18 years old.

Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures.
Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment

Duties:

Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and granting or denying entry as appropriate.
Perform routine inspections of equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, ensuring they are in proper working order.
Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or observations.
