Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to deter unauthorized access and prevent theft or vandalism Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Respond swiftly to emergency situations by implementing established procedures including fire safety protocols, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency evacuation plans Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors as part of security screening processes Handle conflict de-escalation techniques effectively to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety standards Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), CCTV cameras, and alarm systems in accordance with legal regulations and company policies Skills Strong knowledge of physical security practices including patrolling, CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and loss prevention strategies Experience with law enforcement procedures and familiarity with performing background checks Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies using first aid skills, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response procedures Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle tense situations professionally Proficiency in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required for equipment or security checks Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and standards related to firearm handling, Taser use, surveillance technology, and confidentiality Join our team as an Armed Security Officer if you are motivated by protecting people and property with integrity, precision, and enthusiasm.
