Variable Hour Campus Security and Safety Officer

GARRETT COLLEGE

is seeking applicants for a variable hour campus safety and security officer.

This position requires working weekends 11PM to 7AM. Applicant can expect to work 16-24 hours per week with some flexibility available. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license; must have reliable transportation or means of getting to and from work; be able to attend training; and be neat and clean in appearance.

This position is responsible for protecting individuals on campus property and maintaining the security of campus buildings, facilities, parking lots, walkways, and grounds of the College.

Applicants must be able to do the following:

• Work independently.
• Significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Must always be accessible for phone communication.
• Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
• Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in clear and concise written form.

Pay range: $18.12-$21.53 per hour based on relevant experience. T are no benefits associated with this position other than sick and safe leave.

Required:

A background check, including motor vehicle records, will be conducted and must be cleared. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
