Graduate of a Law Enforcement Academy Additional requirements include: Must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent required Must possess a permanent, non-temporary state guard license and required armed credentials Must meet applicable background requirements Ability to speak, read, and write English Ability to write detailed and accurate reports Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain professional and follow directions in stressful situations Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to individuals or situations that may pose a threat Job Description Inter-Con is seeking qualified individuals to join our team of Armed Security Officers. As a member of the Inter-Con team, you will help provide a safe and secure environment while delivering professional service to employees, customers, and visitors. Responsibilities Armed Security Officers may be responsible for: Greeting and assisting guests Providing professional customer service Observing, documenting, and reporting security-related activity Enforcing applicable policies and procedures Monitoring video surveillance systems and alarms Recognizing and appropriately responding to individuals in crisis Responding to sick or injured persons Responding to safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, spills, and other potential hazards Responding to events requiring partial or full evacuations Intervening appropriately when actions may result in injury or property damage Collaborating with other security officers, law enforcement, and emergency services Maintaining professional working relationships with personnel and customers Performing assigned standing, sitting, and walking posts Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required College degree is highly desirable Must possess all licenses, permits, and certifications required for the assignment Personnel should demonstrate high integrity, sound judgment, and professional security skills For candidates with military service, discharge status must not render the candidate unsuitable for the position Benefits Specific benefits may include: Competitive pay Recognition and Reward Programs Training and Career Development Medical and dental benefits Holiday, vacation, and sick time 401(k) retirement plan Uniform and equipment provided Additional benefits depending on position and eligibility Veterans Inter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
