Respond immediately to security alarms, incidents, and unusual behavior by following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate and detailed logs of surveillance activity, incidents, and actions taken during shifts. Conduct periodic reviews of recorded footage to assist in investigations and compile evidence for incident reports. Monitor access control systems and verify the identity of individuals entering restricted areas. Perform routine equipment checks and report any technical malfunctions to the maintenance team for timely resolution. Communicate clear and concise information over radio, phone, and intercom systems during routine and emergency situations. Assist in developing and updating surveillance procedures to improve security effectiveness. Ensure compliance with privacy laws, company policies, and ethical standards when handling surveillance data. Provide support during emergency evacuations and other critical events by guiding security and response teams with real-time information. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security operations or surveillance is a plus. Proven experience as a CCTV operator, security monitor, or similar role in a security-related environment. Familiarity with CCTV systems, video management software, and access control platforms. Strong attention to detail and the ability to observe and retain visual information for extended periods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with team members. Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations and emergencies. Sound judgment and decision-making skills when assessing security risks and determining appropriate responses.
