Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary Position Summary As a Lead A&P Mechanic, your primary focus is leading a team of technicians to produce timely, high-quality, and accurate results. Getting the job done and getting it done right are equal drivers for this role. Your primary function is to effectively utilize manpower and direct project flow. Essential Functions Lead the team to complete assigned jobs/tasks using sound judgment for day-to-day operations and knowing when to escalate to management Implement strong shift turnovers to ensure continuity of work Identify opportunities within your area of responsibility to reduce aircraft turn time Train and mentor technicians assigned to your projects Supervise team members in daily workload and ensure adherence to schedule and quality standards Work independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrate excellent drive and initiative Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems, including removal/installation of panels and components, repair work, and sheet metal repair/installation Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems when designated Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components when designated Perform aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing when required Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling to support operations Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles Communicate effectively and clearly in English — speak, write, read Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management Required Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Airframe & Powerplant License required

Experience:

8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred 4+ years on program-specific airframes Experience leading small groups in daily tasks with minimal supervision Must be a subject matter expert with wide, comprehensive knowledge of the job

Licenses:

Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport preferred but not mandatory

Training:

Aircraft-specific factory training preferred Key Competencies

Leadership:

Direct the work and flow of multiple projects. Supervise team members in daily operations. Complete work orders and FAA paperwork.
