Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team.
The A&P Mechanic will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and component replacement on general aviation aircraft. Our aircraft fly regularly, providing a variety of hands-on maintenance experience and steady maintenance activity.
Responsibilities include:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general aviation aircraft.
Perform and assist with 50-hour, 100-hour, annual, and other required inspections as appropriate.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, engine, fuel, and related aircraft systems.
Remove, inspect, repair, replace, and install aircraft components.
Perform routine aircraft servicing and preventive maintenance.
Identify aircraft discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Utilize aircraft maintenance manuals, service information, illustrated parts catalogs, Airworthiness Directives, and other applicable technical data.
Complete accurate and detailed aircraft maintenance records in accordance with FAA requirements.
Coordinate with maintenance management and flight operations to minimize aircraft downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance environment.
Follow company procedures, accepted maintenance practices, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
Requirements
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required.
General aviation maintenance experience preferred; motivated A&P mechanics looking to build additional GA experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience with Cessna, Piper, and Mooney aircraft preferred.
Experience with Lycoming and Continental piston engines is a plus.
Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of FAA regulations applicable to general aviation maintenance.
Ability to read, understand, and properly utilize aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
Ability to troubleshoot aircraft systems and maintenance discrepancies.
Ability to accurately document maintenance and inspections in accordance with FAA requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple maintenance priorities.
Ability to work independently when appropriate and effectively as part of a team.
Sheet-metal, electrical troubleshooting, and avionics experience are a plus.
Must possess appropriate basic hand tools. Specialty and aircraft-specific tools will be provided by the company.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
