Competitive based on experience Position Overview Integrated Logistics Services (ILSMD) is seeking a skilled and dependable Aircraft Mechanical & Logistics Technician to support aircraft arresting systems, aviation support equipment, warehouse operations, and deployment readiness at Grissom Air Reserve Base. This is a unique position combining aircraft mechanical maintenance, powerplant/mechanical troubleshooting, Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), and warehouse logistics. Training will be provided on the Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) and related contingency equipment. We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work, solving technical problems, and supporting mission readiness. Primary ResponsibilitiesAircraft Mechanical Maintenance Perform mechanical inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on aircraft systems and support equipment. Diagnose mechanical failures and replace worn or damaged components. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance publications. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with military technical orders. Use precision measuring tools and specialized maintenance equipment. Engine & Powerplant Experience Qualified candidates should possess experience working with: Aircraft engines Turbine engines Powerplant systems Fuel systems Hydraulic systems Gearboxes Drive systems Mechanical assemblies Engine accessories Aircraft mechanical components Experience may come from military or civilian aviation maintenance. ALSE and Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) experience is highly desired but not required MAAS Equipment and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Preferred experience includes: Assemble arresting system components Conduct preventive maintenance inspections Repair mechanical components Maintain deployment readiness Support occasional field installations and exercises Inspection and maintenance of ALSE equipment Survival kits Helmets Night vision equipment Flight gear Personal protective equipment Technical documentation Equipment accountability Warehouse & Logistics Receive and inspect incoming shipments Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment Maintain inventory accuracy Pick, issue, and stage materials Maintain accountability of government property Perform annual inventories Package and ship equipment Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness Documentation Complete maintenance records Update inspection documentation Maintain inventory records Follow Quality Management System procedures Ensure compliance with safety and government regulations Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience Experience working on aircraft engines or powerplant systems Strong troubleshooting abilities Ability to read technical manuals Valid driver's license Ability to obtain base access Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to work indoors and outdoors Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications Military aviation maintenance experience FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) experience Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps aviation maintenance background Warehouse or logistics experience Inventory control experience Forklift certification Experience using military supply systems Government contracting experience Prior experience with aircraft arresting systems Ideal Backgrounds Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply: Aircraft Powerplant Mechanic Aircraft Mechanic Helicopter Mechanic Crew Chief Aviation Maintenance Technician Aviation Structural Mechanic ALSE Technician Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic Military Aviation Mechanic Aircraft Maintenance Specialist Why Join ILSMD?
