Job Description
Job Summary Concorde Jet Center of Brunswick, Maine is hiring for full time A&P Technicians to join our growing team. Three years of aircraft maintenance experience is preferred. Essential Functions
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to inspect, maintain, and repair company and customer aircraft to the highest standards and comply with all government regulations as well as company policies and procedures, the Repair Station Manual, Manufacturer's Maintenance manuals and the Federal Aviation Regulations
Read and follow plans, blueprints, and drawings
Fulfill all regular and advanced repair/maintenance duties
Properly execute maintenance work records
Participate in shift meetings and briefings as required
Participate in on-the-job training as assigned by Management
Maintain the maintenance work area in a clean and orderly condition and comply with all safety instructions
Adhere to the company's Drug & Alcohol policy and procedures Eligibility Qualifications
Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate (Airframe only is acceptable)
High school Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read, write and communicate using the English language
Familiar with standard aviation manual structure and ATA codes
Familiar with general mechanic's hand tools
Be able and willing to learn, work, and teach in a team environment
Must possess basic computer skills
Must pass a background check, and a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Supervisory or Authorities Responsibility :
This position has no supervisory or Authorities responsibilities Work Environment This job operates in a hanger and ramp environment Physical Demands
Must be capable of performing tasks that frequently require lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for prolonged periods of time
Must be capable of performing tasks in cramped, awkward, and strained positions and/or climbing up and down ladders, work platforms, scaffolding, and aircraft structures in multiple weather environments
Must be capable of carrying items up to 50 pounds, and with heavier items, must seek assistance of other workers or weightlifting devices Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.
m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime is required when needed. Travel Travel will be required for this position and an up-to-date Passport is needed in the first month on the job. Preferred Education and Experience Successful completion of aircraft system familiarization training required within 180 days. Preferred Education and experience with Bombardier Global Series, Challenger Series and CRJ Series, Gulfstream GIV, GV and G650 and others, also Mid-Large cabin corporate aircraft.
