Lone Mountain Aircraft is looking for quality Aviation Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. We need technicians that can fit in quickly, have a positive attitude, and have General Aviation experience. Position Overview As Lead Technician at our Cirrus Authorized Service Center in Springfield, Ohio, you will serve as a hands-on technical expert and team leader, overseeing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Cirrus SR aircraft. This role demands precision, leadership, and a deep commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform and supervise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with Cirrus and FAA standards Lead and mentor a team of A&P technicians, ensuring quality workmanship and regulatory compliance Assign tasks, manage workflow, and ensure timely completion of service orders Conduct and sign off on inspections using Inspection Authorization (IA) privileges Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems Review and approve maintenance documentation, logbooks, and work orders Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding aircraft status and service recommendations Support technician onboarding and ongoing training Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment Pay & Benefits Lone Mountain Aircraft offers a comprehensive employee benefits program, including: $53 hourly rate with a $2 premium per hour for IA license. $2,500 towards any type of job-related education or for tools for first two years. Medical and Dental Insurance 401(k) enrollment (100% vested with up to 4% employer match) 8 paid holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day 80 hours paid vacation - Accrue (1) day for every year employed, up to 160 hours. 3 Personal Days 80 hours sick pay Signing bonus of $2,000 - $6,000 based on certifications from OEM School previously completed. Requirements Required Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Minimum 5 years of experience in general aviation maintenance, with Cirrus aircraft preferred Strong working knowledge of Cirrus systems, CAPS, and
G1000/G3000
avionics Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance environment Familiarity with FAA Part 43 and Part 91 regulations Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, service bulletins, and digital documentation systems Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Attributes Cirrus factory training Experience with maintenance tracking software such as EBis, CAMP, or Corridor Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset Commitment to continuous improvement and team development Job and company information not to be copied, shared, scraped, or otherwise disseminated without explicit consent of JSfirm, LLC.
