Job Description
Job Summary
Put your skills to work on King Airs, PT6s, and Garmin avionics.
Lowcountry Aviation's Part 145 repair station in Walterboro is hiring FAA-certificated A&P mechanics and experienced avionics technicians. You'll work day shift in a climate-controlled hangar with a clear path to Return-to-Service, RII, and IA authority.
Our shop specializes in Beechcraft King Air airframes, Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engines, piston general aviation aircraft, and Garmin avionics (we're an authorized Garmin dealer), serving owners and operators across the Southeast.
Military aviation maintainers: your discipline, structured troubleshooting, and safety mindset transfer directly to our shop floor. No A&P yet? Your military experience may qualify you to test for it, and we pay the test fees.
What you'll do
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs under our Repair Station Manual
Install, troubleshoot, and wire avionics systems as part of an authorized Garmin dealer shop
Document work accurately, completely, and on time
Grow through our training and mentoring program into Return-to-Service authorization, RII qualification, and Inspection Authorization (IA)
What we offer
Hourly wage of $25-$30/hour based on certification level and experience
We pay your A&P test fees for technicians working toward their certificate (details at offer)
Day shift in a climate-controlled hangar: real work hours, out of the Lowcountry heat
Relocation assistance negotiable for qualified candidates
Comprehensive benefits (medical, 401(k) with company match, paid time off) begin following successful completion of a 90-day introductory period
