Job Summary
Senior A&P Aircraft Mechanic
Location:
Mt. Pleasant, TX
Schedule:
Full-Time 7 & 7 Schedule
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $15,000
We are seeking an experienced, FAA-certified A&P Aircraft Mechanic to support helicopter maintenance operations in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. This position is responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness, performing inspections and repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and ensuring all work meets FAA and manufacturer requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aircraft mechanic who enjoys hands-on maintenance, working independently at a field location, and supporting aircraft where safety and mission readiness are critical.
Responsibilities
Review and evaluate daily maintenance and inspection requirements and perform necessary maintenance to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, removals, and installations.
Notify the Lead Mechanic of situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, additional manpower, parts, or technical assistance.
Maintain aircraft assigned to the field base and ensure required maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
Monitor parts and supply inventory and requisition necessary spares.
Maintain responsibility for the safety and security of company tools, equipment, parts, and other assets at the field base.
Prepare maintenance reports, requisitions, inventories, aircraft logs, inspection forms, and other required documentation.
Certify completed maintenance in aircraft logs and related maintenance documentation in accordance with FAA and manufacturer requirements.
Complete required entries in the electronic maintenance tracking system, including work packages, status sheets, component removals, and installations.
Maintain close communication with the Lead Mechanic and other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
Maintain company-provided special tools and ensure required calibration is completed on schedule.
Travel between bases as required.
Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings (A&P).
Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience as a certified mechanic.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and ability to work with electronic maintenance documentation systems.
Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with maintenance leadership.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination, functional capacity assessment, drug screening, and background screening.
Must be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds as required by the position.
Additional Skills Preferred
Sheet metal repair experience.
Avionics troubleshooting and/or repair experience.
Helicopter or rotorcraft maintenance experience.
Field maintenance experience.
Ability to travel as required, including on short notice during regularly scheduled work periods.
Ability to work night shifts when maintenance requirements dictate.
Schedule & Location Requirements
7 & 7 work schedule.
Position is based in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Candidates must live within a one-hour drive or 60 miles of the assigned base, whichever is greater.
Travel between bases is required.
Must be flexible to support maintenance requirements as operational needs dictate.
