Job Description
Job Summary
Position Overview We are seeking experienced A&P Mechanics to perform heavy maintenance and C-checks on Dash-8 aircraft in San Marcos, Texas. This is a long-term contract for mechanics who take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and keeping aircraft mission-ready.
Responsibilities Perform C-checks and heavy maintenance inspections on Dash-8 aircraft.
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems and components.
Perform inspections and maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
Remove, install, and service aircraft components as required.
Complete maintenance documentation and inspection records accurately.
Work closely with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to meet production and quality requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company, FAA, and safety procedures.
Compensation & Schedule Hourly pay based on experience.
Long-term contract with potential for hire
Split per diem available to those who qualify.
M-F 3:00pm-11:30pm (Must be flexible for change)
Requirements
Qualifications
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Experience performing C-checks on aircraft
- Previous experience performing C-checks or heavy maintenance on turboprop aircraft strongly preferred.
- Experience with scheduled inspections, aircraft repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Must provide own basic hand tools required to perform the job.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to pass applicable background and drug screening requirements.
