Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Airframe Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing aircraft structures with precision and expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, and fabricating airframe components to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of airframes using schematics, technical drawings, and CAD models to identify structural issues or damage. Perform repairs and fabrication on sheet metal, composite materials, and structural components utilizing riveting and specialized industrial tools. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Troubleshoot mechanical systems related to the airframe using engineering troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematics for avionics and electrical systems to facilitate accurate repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, soldering irons, ohmmeters, ammeters, calipers, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Maintain detailed records of maintenance actions in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software while adhering to FAA regulations such as AS9100 standards for quality management in aerospace manufacturing. Assist with flight line maintenance activities ensuring aircraft are ready for operational deployment with minimal downtime. Support aircraft assembly or disassembly processes during major overhauls or modifications in an aviation maintenance facility environment. Ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations by following proper safety procedures during heavy lifting, welding, or equipment repair tasks involving aircraft structures. Qualifications Proven experience as an Airframe Mechanic or in a similar aviation maintenance role with a focus on aircraft structural repair. Strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with FAA aviation standards and procedures is highly desirable. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and engineering methods. Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly. Ability to operate specialized industrial tools including power tools, torque wrenches, hand tools, etc. Knowledge of FAA regulations. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces; familiarity with safety protocols for working on aircraft structures. Excellent problem-solving skills for complex mechanical issues. An FAA airframe mechanic's license or equivalent military experience is mandatory.
