On-site - U.S. Navy installation Position Summary MCH Consulting Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to provide maintenance and repair support for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Shipboard Mobile Support Equipment (SMSE) supporting U.S. Navy operations in the Puget Sound area. The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, safety and weight certifications, and related maintenance activities on forklifts and other material handling equipment. We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and equipment readiness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive and unscheduled corrective maintenance on

MHE/SMSE.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and related equipment malfunctions. Repair or replace unserviceable parts, assemblies, subassemblies, and components. Perform minor structural repairs and fabrication as required. Conduct forklift safety and weight certifications when qualified. Inspect completed maintenance actions to ensure equipment is safe and ready for use. Troubleshoot equipment using technical manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer publications. Use conventional and digital diagnostic equipment and mechanic hand tools. Document inspections, maintenance actions, equipment status, and repairs. Receive and inspect new equipment and identify discrepancies or deficiencies. Assist with shipboard forklift evaluations and consultations. Support maintenance and repair of shipboard Material Handling Equipment. Identify required repair parts and materials and assist with parts-room inventory. Perform corrosion prevention and control activities. Maintain accountability and proper care of Government-furnished equipment and tools. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Comply with applicable Navy, OSHA, environmental, and occupational safety requirements. Required Qualifications Experience maintaining and repairing forklifts, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or similar Material Handling Equipment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance instructions, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Experience using diagnostic instruments, meters, testing equipment, and mechanic hand tools. Ability to independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Ability to accurately maintain equipment and maintenance records. Ability to read, speak, and understand English fluently. Must be able to satisfy applicable physical requirements associated with forklift and equipment maintenance. Must possess or be able to obtain required equipment/operator licenses and certifications. Must provide common hand tools appropriate for the mechanic specialty. Security Requirements U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Candidates must:

Be eligible for a National Security, Non-Critical Sensitive position. Be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (T3) background investigation . Be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) . Successfully complete required fingerprinting, security vetting, and Government installation access requirements. Comply with applicable Department of Defense and Department of the Navy security requirements. Compensation Base Wage:

$31.00 to 35.00 per hour Work Schedule and Location The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time . The primary duty location is NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound in Bremerton, Washington . Work may also be required at other Navy installations in the Puget Sound area, including Bangor, Naval Station Everett, and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
