About the Role We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to support installation, service, and troubleshooting across a variety of commercial and secure facilities. This is a hands-on field position for someone who takes pride in clean, reliable work and can work independently or as part of a project team. Experience may be in one or multiple low-voltage disciplines, including security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, fire alarm, AV, and related systems. Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Cabling
- Install, pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling, devices, and system components in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Low Voltage Systems
- Install and service systems such as CCTV, access control, security, fire alarm, structured cabling, AV, intercom, and related technologies based on experience and project needs.
- Troubleshooting & Testing
- Diagnose cabling, device, and system communication issues and use appropriate test equipment to verify proper operation.
- Drawings & Job Coordination
- Read blueprints, riser diagrams, and scope documents and follow direction from internal project managers and supervisors to complete assigned work.
- Quality & Documentation
- Maintain clean cable management, complete required testing and service documentation, and ensure work meets company, safety, and quality standards.
- Secure Facility Work
- Perform work in environments such as hospitals and VA facilities, schools, correctional facilities, airports, military bases, and other commercial or government locations while following site-specific security and safety requirements. Qualifications
- 3+ years of low-voltage installation, service, or systems integration experience preferred.
- Working experience with one or more low-voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, security, fire alarm, AV, intercom, or structured cabling.
- Ability to read construction drawings and use common low-voltage testing tools such as Fluke meters, certifiers, or OTDR equipment as applicable.
- ability to travel to job sites, and ability to work from ladders/lifts and lift materials and equipment as required.
- Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check Preferred but not required
