About the Role As a Field Security Systems Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the integrity and functionality of complex security infrastructure across multiple regional facilities. Your work directly impacts public safety by ensuring that advanced surveillance, access control, and electronic locking systems remain operational and reliable. Responsibilities Execute the installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of
CCTV, IP
video surveillance, and sophisticated access control systems. Diagnose and resolve complex malfunctions in low-voltage wiring, fire alarm infrastructure, and intercom/PA communication networks. Conduct systematic preventive maintenance and rigorous inspections to minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of security electronics. Interpret intricate blueprints and schematics to perform precise system diagnostics using advanced electronic test equipment. Document all service activities, inventory usage, and maintenance logs within a CMMS platform to ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with facility stakeholders and provide technical mentorship to team members to ensure high-level system performance. Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. 4-6 years of professional experience in security electronics or low-voltage systems within commercial or institutional settings. Proven proficiency in troubleshooting CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Skills Advanced knowledge of IP-based video systems and network-integrated security. Experience utilizing CMMS software for facility maintenance management. Strong analytical skills with a focus on system diagnostics and corrective repair strategies.
