Santa Teresa, NM Position Overview Unified Personnel is seeking a highly skilled ES-3 Low Voltage Special Systems Technician to join a growing team in Santa Teresa, NM. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security, access control, and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate holds an active New Mexico ES-3 license and has a strong background in commercial or industrial environments. Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems.
Ensure all work complies with New Mexico CID regulations and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.)
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades on job sites
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and inspections
Lead or assist crews depending on project scope and experience level Required Qualifications
Active New Mexico ES-3 License (Special Systems Contractor License) — must be current and in good standing (not lapsed)
Proven experience in low-voltage installation (commercial/industrial preferred)
Strong working knowledge of any of the following:
Fire alarm systems
Access control systems
CCTV/security systems
Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber)
Intercom, sound, and communication systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
Perform system diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if required by client/project) Preferred Background Candidates typically meet ES-3 licensing requirements through one of the following paths:
OR ~2 years of experience progressing through ES-1 or ES-2 licensing pathways
Successful completion of: o
PSI ES-3
Trade Exam o New Mexico Business & Law Exam Compensation & Benefits
