Fire Alarm Service Technician, Senior Century Fire Protection Fort Worth - Grand Prairie, TX 75050 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Travel Percentage Up to 25% Apply Fire Alarm Service Technician, Senior Division 28 - Fort Worth, TX Summary Responsible for independently performing advanced inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex fire alarm and life safety systems. This role serves as a technical expert, supports customers and AHJs, mentors junior technicians, and assists service leadership with complex or critical service needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform advanced inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA 72 and local codes. Troubleshoot and repair complex fire alarm systems, panels, networks, and devices. Diagnose system deficiencies, determine corrective actions, and complete repairs efficiently. Interface directly with customers, building owners, and AHJs regarding system performance and compliance. Complete detailed service reports, inspection documentation, and deficiency reports accurately and timely. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Fire Alarm Technician I and II personnel. Assist with system upgrades, retrofits, and special projects. Support emergency service calls and on-call rotation as required. Maintain tools, test equipment, vehicles, and inventory. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. Education and/or Experience High school diploma and 5-7+ years of fire alarm service or installation experience; NICET Level III or IV in Fire Alarm Systems preferred (or ability to obtain); advanced knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and diagnostics; strong working knowledge of
NFPA 72, NFPA 70
(NEC), and local AHJ requirements; ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, plans, and specifications. Computer Skills Microsoft Office applications; proficiency with fire alarm panels, devices, and testing equipment; ability to use mobile service software, smartphones, and basic computer applications; familiarity with system manufacturers such as Notifier or equivalent preferred. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and in occupied buildings; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; field-based role at commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and electrical environments; On-call rotation and occasional overtime may be required.
