Position Summary The Auto Body Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, communicating with customers and insurance companies, and helping ensure a smooth repair process from start to finish. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience writing complete and accurate auto repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software. Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare complete, accurate repair estimates. Develop detailed repair plans for both DRP and non-DRP repairs. Write and submit estimates to insurance companies using CCC ONE and/or Mitchell. Communicate with customers throughout the repair process and provide timely updates. Deliver exceptional customer service during every stage of the repair. Coordinate repairs with production staff to maintain efficient cycle times. Assist management in planning daily production and vehicle movement. Perform quality inspections before vehicle delivery. Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers professionally. Prepare repair invoices and related documentation. Photograph vehicles during check-in, throughout repairs, and at delivery. Coordinate sublet repairs and parts as needed. Maintain accurate repair documentation and administrative records. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of collision estimating experience (required) Experience with CCC ONE and/or Mitchell Estimating software Strong understanding of collision repair procedures and insurance claim processes Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions regarding repair procedures, parts, and scheduling Team-oriented with a positive attitude I-CAR certification is preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred Why Join Covina Auto Body?
