Job Description

About the Role St. Aubin Auto Body is hiring an experienced Body Technician to join our collision repair team. We pay hourly (clock hour) which means steady pay, focus on quality, and a shop that invests in doing the repair right the first time. We're looking for a great technician: someone who can weld, structurally repair, and refit panels on light-to-heavy collision damage with minimal supervision, and who takes pride in clean, accurate work. What You'll Do Assess collision damage thoroughly and determine the correct structural and non-structural repair sequence Perform welding repairs using MIG welding, squeeze-type resistance welding, and other OEM-approved methods to restore vehicle frames and panels Fabricate and shape sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, and sanding tools for precise fitting Remove, repair, and reinstall bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, trim, and glass Use frame and measuring systems to restore vehicles to factory structural specifications Follow OEM-certified repair procedures (Honda, Lincoln, Acura, Ford) and I-CAR standards Review work orders with the Production Manager and flag additional damage or parts needs Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and personal tool inventory Communicate clearly with the Production Manager on job status and progress Requirements 2+ years of structural/collision body repair experience; 5+ years preferred for senior-level pay Skilled MIG welder; I-CAR or OEM certifications a plus (or willingness to pursue them) Strong knowledge of unibody/full-frame construction, structural repair, and dent/panel repair Own tools and a mobile tool box sufficient to do the job Ability to read and follow written repair orders and OEM procedures Valid driver's license Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet, bending/kneeling, for extended periods Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused Why Work Here Hourly pay — consistent paycheck, not dependent on flagged hours The only OEM-certified shop in the county (Honda, Lincoln, Acura, Ford) — real growth ahead, and room to grow with us Ongoing OEM and I-CAR training/certification/raise opportunities Clean, well-equipped, safety-focused shop Established shop with steady work volume Health Insurance, 401(k),
