Automotive Mechanic Ten-Four Auto Whittier, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $34 - $55 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Vehicle inspections Driving Automotive engine system repair Automotive braking system repair Mechanical systems repair Full Job Description Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability problems. Perform repairs and services as described on the repair order. Diagnose check engine lights, electrical problems, overheating concerns, A/C systems, and other vehicle issues. Perform brake, steering, suspension, alignment, cooling system, engine, and general mechanical repairs. Use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and automotive repair information systems. Communicate diagnostic findings and additional repair recommendations to the service advisor. Ask questions when necessary to ensure repairs are completed correctly and avoid duplicated work. Inspect vehicles and communicate any additional safety or maintenance concerns. Verify that repairs are complete and operating properly. Road test vehicles before and after repairs when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Properly care for shop equipment and tools. Participate in training and shop meetings as necessary. Work as part of a team with service advisors, parts personnel, and other mechanics. Maintain a professional and friendly attitude with coworkers and customers. Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Experience working on cars and light trucks Ability to work independently and efficiently Valid driver's license preferred ASE Certification preferred Must have a good work ethic and be dependable
Pay:
$34.00 - $55.00 per hour
