Full-time (In-Person) Summary Buckley's Auto Care is hiring an experienced B/B+ Level Automotive Technician with solid electrical and diagnostic fundamentals to join our Millsboro team. This role is built for a skilled technician who already understands electrical circuits, scan tool operation, and mechanical repairs, but wants a clear, structured path to becoming a Senior or Master Tech. You won't just be grinding out basic maintenance—you will handle complex mechanical jobs and independent electrical diagnostics, with backing from our master technician when you hit advanced edge cases. What You'll Do Electrical & Diagnostics:
Perform systematic electrical troubleshooting (using multimeters, lab scopes, and scan tools) to diagnose drivability issues, check engine lights, and electrical faults.
General & Advanced Repairs:
Perform brake system overhauls, steering and suspension replacement, engine performance repairs, HVAC work, and routine mechanical maintenance.
Digital Inspection & Documentation:
Execute thorough Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs), documenting findings clearly with photos/notes in Tekmetric for our Service Advisors and guests.
Collaborate & Verify:
Test drive vehicles pre- and post-service to verify concerns and ensure repairs are right the first time. Work alongside Senior Techs on complex diagnostics to continue expanding your skillset.
Shop Standards:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bay while caring for shared shop tools and diagnostic equipment. What We're Looking For (Required) 3+ years of professional automotive shop experience (Independent, Dealership, or Fleet).
Proven Electrical Skills:
Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, wiring schematics, voltage drop testing, and diagnostic scan tools.
Tools:
Your own personal set of hand tools, air/power tools, and basic electrical testing gear (multimeter, back probes, etc.).
Technical Proficiency:
Fluent with repair databases (Mitchell1, AllData, or OEM service info) and proper torque specifications.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Physical Capability:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical shop labor safely. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
ASE Certifications:
Active ASEs (especially A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems , A4 Steering & Suspension, or A5 Brakes). Delaware Safety and/or Emissions Inspection License. Hands-on experience with Tekmetric and digital inspection tools. Experience servicing modern HVAC systems (R-134a / R-1234yf).
