Position Summary Skillfully perform maintenance and repairs on a diversified fleet of equipment in support of a manufacturing plant production, transportation, construction, and farming operations. General Duties Receives daily assignments for the performance of scheduled services for a diversified fleet of equipment in support of manufacturing plant operations. Demonstrate a working knowledge to service and repair trucks, trailers, agriculture tractors and equipment, and heavy construction equipment. Service and repair all manner of material handling equipment including forklifts, tugs, pallet trucks, lifts, etc. Perform unscheduled repairs on and off site, to return equipment back into operation. Apply skills in welding and fabricating all types of steel. Perform inspection, troubleshooting, and repair to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Seek out and suggest improvements to shop operations and to equipment being serviced. Maintain proper housekeeping and adherence to safety standards; proper use of personal protective equipment and devices, as required. Safely operate all tools and equipment. Effectively communicate with supervisors and peers; work with Support Assistant in securing needed parts. Apply computer skills to produce work orders for cost and inventory control. Additional duties may include but are not limited to tire mounting, auto body repair, painting and sand blasting. Read and interpret illustrated parts manuals and schematics. Requirements Knowledge of commonly accepted maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures. 3-5 years of quantifiable experience in agriculture, heavy equipment, trucking and/or automotive service industries. Follow direction to a high degree of attention to detail, accurate problem identification and solving skills. Have a positive record of adherence to established Kinze policy and procedures. Demonstrate a willingness to successfully complete task independently or in a team setting. Possess the ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality. Be willing to provide a basic set of hand and air tools. Must have a valid driver's license and able to operate company equipment.
Working Conditions Manufacturing Environment:
