Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of automotive issues. This role requires proficiency in working with both traditional and advanced automotive systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and electrical systems. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, providing exceptional service to our customers. Technicians Earn 150% of JLR Warranty Labor Time At Jaguar Land Rover South Shore, warranty work pays more. Our technicians are paid 1.5 times the JLR warranty labor time on eligible warranty repairs. Responsibilities Perform thorough diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Utilize knowledge of ADAS technologies to diagnose and repair related systems. Execute auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes. Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repairs. Requirements Jaguar Land Rover Experience is Preferred Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role in a dealership or independent shop setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and diagnostics. Experience with GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Relevant certifications in automotive technology or related fields are a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license.
