Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment, highway trucks, trailers, and related fleet equipment. This position requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and support field operations when mobile repairs are needed. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on construction equipment, highway trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Perform repairs and maintenance on electric and air brake systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Complete welding and light fabrication as needed. Travel occasionally to jobsites to perform mobile repairs and keep equipment operational. Operate a mechanic/service truck and, when needed, drive heavy trucks to diagnose or address mechanical issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, equipment, and driving policies. Work independently and efficiently while also supporting the maintenance and operations teams. Work overtime or flexible hours as needed to minimize equipment and truck downtime. Qualifications Previous experience repairing construction equipment, highway trucks, trailers, or similar heavy equipment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience with electric and air brake systems. Knowledge of hydraulic systems preferred. Welding and light fabrication experience preferred. Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred. Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for field repairs. Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and manage multiple maintenance needs. Strong commitment to workplace and vehicle safety. Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours when equipment repairs require it.
