Job Description

Job Overview Cruz'n Auto Sales is looking for an experienced and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles in a fast-paced environment. You'll have the opportunity to work in our 8-bay shop, diagnosing, repairing, and preparing vehicles for sale on our car lot. This is NOT a customer service or public repair position. You will strictly be working on vehicles owned by the business that are being prepared for resale. There will be no dealing with customers or performing public repair work. If you have the experience, tools, and motivation to help keep our inventory moving and road-ready, we want to hear from you! Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles. Perform repairs needed to prepare vehicles for resale. Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems. Perform oil changes, tune-ups, brake repairs, shocks and struts, and other general maintenance and repairs. Use diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify vehicle issues. Read and interpret diagnostic information, schematics, and technical manuals when necessary. Inspect vehicles and identify repairs needed before they are placed on the car lot. Help ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for sale. Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work area. Work efficiently and communicate with management regarding vehicle repairs and parts needed. Requirements Previous automotive mechanic experience is required. Must have strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems. Must be able to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. Must have your own tools. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Dependable, motivated, and able to maintain a productive work pace. Experience with a variety of makes and models is preferred. What We Offer Work in a spacious 8-bay shop. No public or customer repair work. Focus strictly on repairing and preparing company vehicles for resale. Opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and mechanical repairs. Supportive work environment with consistent vehicle inventory to work on. Pay is based on experience and skill level and may be higher or lower depending on qualifications.
