•Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the fleet of Ride Care vehicles, developing and ongoing and detailed maintenance log for every vehicle in the fleet. Assist with retrieval of fleet vehicles when deemed undriveable, working to restore the vehicle to operations quickly. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake repairs. Inspect and identify safety and repair issues. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues and auto-body repairs when necessary. Diagnose leaks effectively. Replace engine components (including head gaskets, shocks, struts, front end components). Remove and install transmissions, transfer cases and engines. Rebuild differentials and transfer cases. Perform A/C compressor and component repairs and recharging. Perform brake lining replacement. Tune up, replace spark plugs, wires, clean throttle body and clean air flow sensors. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop. Other duties as assigned by the manager or other leadership. Requirements 3-5 years proven experience as a mechanic. ASE certification helpful but not required. Proven ability to work alone, managing time effectively to produce results. Operate with flexibility and adaptability to any environment, making immediate decisions and resolving conflict. Operate in highly stressful situations from both internal and external sources. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment. Expertise in conducting brake repairs, maintaining vehicles, and performing auto-body repairs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to travel within and outside the state as needed (10%).
