Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicle systems using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components, including engines, powertrain systems, electrical systems, and suspension components, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications. Conduct engine repairs on both gasoline and diesel engines, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system troubleshooting. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Diagnose and repair Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), vehicle alignment issues, and electrical wiring problems with precision. Interpret schematics and automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and manual handling to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles while prioritizing safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in automotive repair environments. Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics. Expertise in automotive engine technology, including gasoline and diesel engine repair. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance protocols. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools such as scan tools and computer-based testing equipment. Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex vehicle systems efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required; willingness to learn brand-specific systems is essential.
