Job Description

Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic Direct Hire | Up to $36/hr | Flexible 4-Day or 5-Day Schedule TOPS Staffing is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment & Truck Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established industrial contractor serving the greater Pittsburgh area. This is a hands-on position working on a wide variety of heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. In addition to shop repairs, you'll occasionally use a company service truck to perform repairs at local customer job sites. If you're a self-motivated mechanic who enjoys troubleshooting equipment and working on a variety of machines, this is an excellent long-term career opportunity.
Pay & Schedule Direct Hire Pay :
Up to $36.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule Options:
Monday-Friday (5 x 8-hour shifts) Monday-Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts Occasional overtime available What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment Perform preventative maintenance and DOT/Class 7 inspections Repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components Perform field service repairs using a company service truck when needed Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations Qualifications Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment, diesel truck, or fleet maintenance experience Strong diagnostic and mechanical troubleshooting skills Experience working on diesel engines and hydraulic systems Valid Class B CDL required Class A CDL is a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs Benefits Weekly pay Health insurance allowance Vision and dental coverage 401(k) with 3% company match Potential annual profit-sharing contribution after one year Paid holidays Two weeks paid vacation Company-paid life insurance If you're looking for a stable career with competitive pay, flexible scheduling, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment, apply today through TOPS Staffing.
