Suspension Technician - Texas Tires Job Summary The Suspension Technician at Texas Tires is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle suspension, steering, and related systems to ensure safe handling, ride comfort, and proper vehicle performance. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to provide quality service while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. A Suspension Technician performs inspections, repairs, and installations related to suspension and steering components on a wide range of vehicles. The technician will identify mechanical issues, recommend necessary repairs, and complete work efficiently while following safety standards and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Inspect and diagnose suspension, steering, and undercar system issues. Replace and repair suspension components, including shocks, struts, springs, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and bushings. Perform alignments and assist with tire-related services when needed. Identify worn or damaged parts and communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers and service advisors. Conduct test drives and vehicle inspections to verify repairs and ensure proper performance. Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow Texas Tires quality standards and provide dependable service. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a suspension, alignment, or automotive repair technician preferred. Knowledge of vehicle suspension and steering systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems accurately. Experience with suspension repairs, alignments, and tire services. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Valid drivers license preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Ability to lift and handle automotive parts and equipment. Comfortable working with vehicles, tools, and mechanical systems.
