Job Summary:
Escamilla Ford is seeking a dependable and motivated Lube Technician to assist the Service Department with routine vehicle maintenance. The Lube Technician will perform oil and filter changes, inspect fluid levels, check tires, and complete basic preventative maintenance services while ensuring vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform oil and filter changes on customer vehicles.
Check and top off vehicle fluids as needed.
Inspect tire pressure and tire condition.
Rotate tires and perform basic tire services when required.
Inspect belts, hoses, filters, batteries, and other basic vehicle components.
Perform basic multi-point vehicle inspections.
Lubricate vehicle components according to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Properly handle and dispose of used oil, filters, and other automotive materials.
Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
Report any additional maintenance or repair concerns to the Service Advisor or supervisor.
Move and park customer vehicles safely when necessary.
Assist other service technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous automotive or lube technician experience preferred, but entry-level candidates may be considered.
Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance.
Ability to safely operate hand tools and shop equipment.
Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift approximately 50 pounds.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
