As a Top-Level Automotive Repair Technician at Jeremi's, you'll own the shop's most challenging mechanical, electrical, and drivability work — test it, prove it, fix it, and verify it. Your job is to protect the customer's money, time, safety, and peace of mind through accurate diagnosis, quality repairs, and clear, defensible documentation. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns through testing, measurement, isolation, and proof — never guessing or parts swapping. Perform complete, high-quality repairs across brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, electrical, drivability, and maintenance systems. Document every diagnosis with clear evidence showing what failed, how it was tested, why it failed, what is required to repair it, and when additional testing or a Step 1 repair is needed. Complete exceptional Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) using clear photos, annotations, narrated videos, measurements, and descriptions customers can easily understand. Identify, prove, and document safety and maintenance concerns honestly. Technicians don't sell repairs — you provide defensible evidence, the Service Advisor educates, and the customer decides. Perform thorough proof-of-repair verification, including applicable post-scans, road tests, warning-light checks, leak inspections, readiness-monitor checks, final QC, and proof-of-success documentation. Communicate early and proactively when diagnosis changes direction, complications arise, additional parts/testing are needed, or expected completion timing may change. Maintain disciplined job control by keeping the vehicle, key/bag, Tekmetric status, parts status, and production stage aligned, using established internal workflows. Work with urgency without sacrificing diagnostic accuracy, documentation, safety, repair quality, low comeback rates, teamwork, or process compliance. Follow Jeremi's Auto's systems and QC processes regardless of experience level — we value experience combined with humility, coachability, and disciplined execution. Mentor developing technicians with patience and respect while continuously improving your own technical knowledge, certifications, and repair capabilities.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$30-$40 per flag hour , based on experience and skill level. Up to $45-$50 per flag hour for highly skilled technicians with strong character and emotional maturity, particularly those with European, diesel, or ASE Master Technician experience/certification.

First-year total compensation target:

$100,000-$120,000 After 90 days , eligible technicians may have the opportunity to transition into our team-based compensation program, which includes hourly pay plus individual and team production bonuses . PTO:

1 paid week off during Christmas each year; 1 additional week of PTO after 1 year; 3 total paid weeks off after 2 years, including Christmas week; 4 total paid weeks off after 5 years, including Christmas week 50% discount on maintenance services for up to 2 personal vehicles

SCHEDULE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (tires, parts, tools) Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment with precision Comfortable in a shop environment — grease, fluids, noise, and Texas heat are part of the job Valid driver's license required for road testing
