The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including All Domestic & Import vehicles. This role involves diagnosing complex vehicle issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service. The technician must possess excellent mechanical knowledge, technical proficiency with automotive tools and systems, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues across various vehicle systems. Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engine, transmission, and related systems such as vehicle suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS features. Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs, alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs accurately and efficiently. Diagnose and repair diesel engines as well as gasoline-powered vehicles across different makes and models. Interpret schematics for electrical wiring, vehicle systems, and component layouts to facilitate precise repairs. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake service, tire rotations, and fluid replacements. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software for accurate documentation and billing. Adhere to safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Qualifications Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmission systems, and vehicle suspension repair. Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, schematics interpretation, ADAS calibration, and electrical wiring diagrams. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for repairs. Experience working on GM vehicles is a plus; familiarity with diesel engine repair is advantageous. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and automotive wiring diagrams accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex vehicle issues. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients. Valid driver's license required; ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
