Sr Mass Properties Engineer
Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a
Sr Mass Properties Engineer Must-haves:
- Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Deep knowledge of SAWE Recommended Practices RP-7 and RP-8
- Experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts
- Experience with conceptual level design support and parametric modeling
- Experience building mass properties estimates from CAD data
- Author for weight and balance reports
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
Preferred:
- Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) training within the previous three years.
- Completed Aircraft Weight & Balances Course (computer & practical) (AETC or equivalent) within the past 3 years
- Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) for military programs.
- Experience with Dassualt 3DX and/or Solidworks.
- Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or
US Military Education:
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 10 more years of relevant experience Additional skills: Weight and Balance Reports Parametric Weight Estimation
