Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a
Sr Mass Properties Engineer Must-haves:
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Deep knowledge of SAWE Recommended Practices RP-7 and RP-8
  • Experience with aircraft weighing and associated forms and charts
  • Experience with conceptual level design support and parametric modeling
  • Experience building mass properties estimates from CAD data
  • Author for weight and balance reports
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
Preferred:
  • Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) training within the previous three years.
  • Completed Aircraft Weight & Balances Course (computer & practical) (AETC or equivalent) within the past 3 years
  • Familiarity with Commercial Derivative Aircraft (CDA) for military programs.
  • Experience with Dassualt 3DX and/or Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of industry standard aerospace principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, fundamentals of flight mechanics
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or
US Military Education:
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline and typically 10 more years of relevant experience Additional skills: Weight and Balance Reports Parametric Weight Estimation
