Job Title:

Avionics Technician If qualified and interested: Text Duke at 631/513/1840 Job Description We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment, including radar, radio, pulse, navigation, auto pilot, and compass systems installed in aircraft. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure the accuracy of assembly and installation, perform in-flight adjustments, and comply with maintenance regulations. Responsibilities Inspect components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wires. Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness using test equipment like oscilloscopes and digital meters. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications. Accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and determine required post-flight repair work. Comply with FAR required maintenance such as 91.411 and 91.413 inspections. Operate ground station for air-to-station checks of radar or other equipment. Fabricate wiring harnesses. Comply with avionics upgrades and modifications. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in inspecting, testing, and repairing avionics equipment. Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, and circuit analyzers. Experience in analyzing test results and following technical documents. Skilled in calibrating equipment and performing in-flight adjustments. Knowledge of FAR maintenance requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with coax crimping and troubleshooting. Understanding of the function of relays. Ability to fabricate wiring harnesses and terminate wire harnesses. Work Environment Candidates will work in the hangar at PDK Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with some flexibility in hours due to ATL traffic. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chamblee, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
